Need For Speed 2022 teaser is out, and official trailer to be released on October 6. Check all details.
Need For Speed 2022 is happening! The famous NFS franchise is coming back after NFS Heat from years ago and this time, it is developed by Criterion Games as well as Codemasters, two of EA’s blockbuster studios specialising in racing games. EA is still calling the game NFS, although rumours suggest it to be called the Need For Speed Unbound. This time, the game’s artwork is said to be vastly different and the focus will once again on extreme customisation.
Via its official Twitter channel, Need For Speed reveals the artwork with the new NFS logo. The artwork seems to show a lot of anime style visuals, which matches with the previous rumours of the game using anime style artwork in the tyre smoke. EA even changed the album art of the last three NFS games on the Steam listings page to hype the new game. The trailer will be revealed on October 6 at 8:30 PM and we can only hope for the best with the next release.
Need For Speed 2022 teased!
The last time Criterion did NFS was the NFS Most Wanted 2012 edition, which was a recreation of the 2005 blockbuster racer. Prior to that, Criterion did the NFS Hot Pursuit, which itself was a Superhit title in the franchise. Criterion later released a remastered version of the same game a few years ago.
The game is said to hit the shelves on December 2 and will pose as a challenger to the Forza Horizon franchise, which is currently the darling of all arcade racing fans. The last title in Need For Speed entry, dubbed the NFS Heat, focused on car customisation and cop chases. Will NFS Unbound offer the same experience in a much better way? With Criterion Games and Codemasters involved, our expectations are only higher.
Rumours also suggest that NFS Unbound is expected to release on PC as well as the Sony PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S consoles. There won’t be a release on the last generation Sony and Microsoft consoles yet.
