Former president Donald Trump appeared alongside Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Monday night hours after unveiling Vance as his pick for a running mate. Trump appeared before the convention crowd almost exactly 48 hours after a gunman attempted to assassinate him Saturday night at a rally in Pennsylvania. Republicans will continue to seek to boost the newly minted ticket during proceedings Tuesday, the second of four days of convention programming.
