On July 7, 2023, a framework cooperation agreement was signed between the National School of Architecture of Marrakech of the Ministry of Territorial Development, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy with the Higher School of Textile and Clothing Industries. This five-year partnership aims to promote cultural and scientific collaboration in areas of common interest related to innovation and the development of responsible and environmentally friendly projects.
The two partner institutions are committed to implementing forms of collaboration that promote recycling and the use of sustainable materials in their projects. In particular, special attention will be paid to the use and recycling of textiles and their derivatives. This approach is part of a broader vision of the school of architects of Marrakech, which is dedicated to constructive cultures and to responsible and frugal architecture and development.
This partnership between the National School of Architecture of Marrakech and the School of Textile and Clothing Industries opens new perspectives for innovation in the field of construction. By combining the expertise of the two establishments, innovative and environmentally friendly projects can be developed.
Innovation is at the heart of this partnership, as it involves rethinking practices and adopting more sustainable and responsible approaches in the building sector. By promoting the use of sustainable materials, both establishments seek to reduce their ecological footprint and promote environmentally friendly practices.
This partnership also offers new opportunities for students from both institutions. By collaborating on common projects, they will be able to acquire new skills and develop their creativity. This experience will enable them to be better prepared for the challenges of the professional world and to actively contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable economy. It should also be recalled that the National School of Architecture of Marrakech is recognized for its expertise in the fields of constructive cultures and responsible and frugal architectures. Thanks to this new alliance, it will be able to integrate the latest technological advances and good practices in terms of recycling and the use of new materials in integrated educational and construction projects.
One of the main objectives of this convention is the development of startup projects between students from the two schools. Various innovative ideas and exciting projects will be able to emerge thanks to this collaboration. Indeed, students will have the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice and explore new entrepreneurial paths.
Then, the convention aims to exchange know-how and to supervise the students within the framework of the activities of ENACTUS (ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTION FOR OTHERS US ALL). This means that students will benefit from valuable guidance and support to bring their ideas and projects to fruition. They will be able to learn from the best and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
Finally, the convention aims to highlight the innovative projects of students. It recognizes the importance of innovation and creativity in sustainable development. Students will thus have the opportunity to present their projects and share them with a wider audience. This will allow them to gain visibility and publicize their innovative ideas.
