It has been a month since BGMI was removed from Google and Apple’s App stores in India after the Indian government banned the game. MEITY has banned the game due to a suspected privacy breach. While this left BGMI fans very disappointed, recently a few rumours surfaced on the internet suggesting the return of the game. Fake images highlighting BGMI unban date surfaced on the internet, however, any official statement from Krafton is yet to come.
A report by Sportskeeda suggested that the fake image showed that the popular game was about to make its comeback to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store on August 22. However, it is still unavailable for Indian players.
The image has also been shared that BGMI will be made available for iOS gamers around 4:00 PM IST and between 12:30 PM and 7:30 PM IST for Android users on the said date. However, it turned out to be fake.
Meanwhile, Stalwart Esports’ co-founder statement has left fans hopeful of BGMI unban. Stalwart Esports’ Towqeer Gilkar, recently posted a story highlighting the game’s likelihood of getting unbanned on his Instagram handle. He also held a live session, where he mentioned that the game might make a comeback before everyone expects it to. He dropped hints that BGMI might be back within a month.
He also shared that a meeting was held by the concerned authorities, and various important personalities were a part of it including him as well. He added that everyone is trying their best to bring BGMI back and hence, he believes that the popular title will be back soon.

The BGMI makers, Krafton Inc., was given a timeline of 14 days by the government to prove their innocence. The developers are in the process of providing the evidence to clear the data privacy issues and its links with China.
