Former president Donald Trump touted “tremendous unity” surrounding his presidential bid on Thursday after separate meetings on Capitol Hill with House and Senate Republicans. It was Trump’s first visit to Capitol Hill since the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection in which a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol complex in an attempt to stop the certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s election victory.
