Call of Duty players can check out the latest additions as part of season 1 of Activision Blizzard’s latest game.
Waiting for the Call of Duty Modern Warfare II season 1 update to drop? Well, your wait is over! The season 1 update with all the new maps and guns has dropped today for PC as well as console players worldwide. According to GamesRadar, content from the Modern Warfare II Battle Pass was released earlier during the day, not only bringing loads of new content, but also delivering a complete overhaul to the player progression system.
One of the most-awaited features was the private lobby option in Bounty Mode and Cyber Attack Mode. Earlier, both of these modes were only available via public matches. Private lobbies can now be created to access these exciting modes against AI players or even your friends.
Activision Blizzard also dropped off loads of content such as new operators, game modes, maps, weapons and more. New weapons include KASTOV 545, BAS-P, VICTUS XMR and more. New operator skins have also been released such as the ZERO skin, ROZE skin and many more. If players Play through all 20 sectors, they can earn up to 1400 Call of Duty Points back.
However, not all is exciting news as the release of one particular mode has been delayed. Treyarch Studios recently revealed in a tweet, “Update: CDL Moshpit was initially expected to release today at the start of Season 01 multiplayer, but recently discovered issues with the mode will require a slight delay. Addressing these issues are our current top priority, and we’ll update you on the timing ASAP.” Therefore, players can expect the Moshpit to be released via a future update.
The new update has been released on all platforms. According to GamesRadar, the new season update stands at 32GB on PC, between 25 to 30GB on PlayStation consoles and a hefty 60GB across XBOX consoles.
The new Modern Warfare II is being considered one of the best launches in the history of Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward’s FPS saga. It only borrows the name from the 2009 game, and features an all new storyline with familiar faces of the Task Force 141 returning.
