NEW YORK — Donald Trump’s defense team spent early Friday cross-examining former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker in the hush money records falsification trial in New York. Pecker is answering questions about the Enquirer’s practice of purchasing, and killing, stories about celebrities to show it happened long before the 2016 election. Defense attorney Emil Bove said late Friday morning that the rest of his cross-examination of Pecker would take less than an hour.
