Four contenders competing for the Republican presidential nomination are set to debate in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Wednesday night, only six weeks before the Iowa caucuses kick off the nominating contest. Former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former New Jersey governor Chris Christie and tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy will be onstage. The two-hour debate, which starts at 8 p.m. Eastern, will stream on all NewsNation platforms. Former president Donald Trump, who continues to lead the GOP field in national polls by a wide margin, is skipping the event once again.
