Pokemon Go players have something very exciting coming their way. The mobile augmented reality game has started its Bug Out event celebrating all bug-type Pokemon. This event will be a great opportunity for players to complete their bug Pokemon collection and get the much needed candies to evolve and power up your main Pokemon. The event comes with multiple events, the debut of Mega Scizor and Grubbin as well as a chance to catch the elusive Unown T. So, let us take a closer look at the Pokemon Go Bug out event.
Pokemon Go: Bug Out event brings new Pokemon and challenges
The event began on August 10 and will continue till August 16, 2022. There are special bonuses, raids and new Pokemon to catch.
Special bonuses: In the duration of the event, players will get 2x XP and additional candy for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws. Timed Research focused on catching Bug-type Pokémon will be available throughout the event! You can also complete research tasks to earn items, Pokémon encounters, and Scizor Mega Energy. Gyms will also increase the availability of special bug Pokemons if three or more Trainers join an in-person Raid Battle.
New Pokemon: Three new bug-type Pokemon will make their debut during the event. They include Grubbin, Charjabug and Vikavolt. Charjabug and Vikavolt are the evolved forms of Grubbin. Mega Scizor will also make its debut during Mega Raids. Additionally, Unown T and shiny Unown T can be seen during raid battles. Finally, Pansage, the grass monkey Pokemon will appear in the wild and in raids around the world during the Bug Out event.
Challenges and raids: There is a special collection challenge featuring Bug-type Pokemon, completing which will get you 15,000 XP. Apart from that, you will have the regular one star, three star, five star and mega raids.
