Post that, the in-game qualifiers are going to be held over September 1 to September 5. This will be followed by online playoffs that will be held over September 12 to 15. The finals of the PUBG Mobile Lite Championship 2020 will be held on September 19 and 20.
In the in-game qualifiers, from September 1 to 5, each registered team is expected to play 10 classic mode matches. The best scores of the top eight matches will be considered and the top 44 teams will go on to the next round.
If there is a tie, then other parameters like kills, survival time and accuracy will be factored in. If a team fails to complete eight matches their score will be adjusted in a manner that’s going to be decided by the PUBG Mobile Lite Championship officials.
In the next round, the online qualifiers, the 44 teams will be joined by 16 invited teams making it a total of 60 teams. The teams will get divided into four groups and each group will be playing a total of five matches.
Three teams from each group will be selected on the basis of their highest cumulative scores. Twelve teams will then go on to the finals of the PUBG Mobile Lite Championship 2020.
In the finals, these 12 teams along with three other teams (selected on the basis of maximum kills) will play 10 matches over two days. One team with the highest cumulative score will be announced as the winner.
Here’s how much you can win
PUBG Mobile Lite Championship 2020 is offering players a chance to win a prize pool of ₹5,00,000. The winners of the championship will take home ₹2 lakhs, the first runner up gets ₹1 lakh and the second runner up gets ₹60,000.
There are prizes for five more teams as per their ranks. The team that comes in 4th gets ₹40,000, the 5th spot gets ₹30,000, the 6th gets ₹20,000, 7th gets ₹15,000 and the 8th spot gets ₹10,000.
There is also a People’s Choice Award for one team that’s ₹25,000.
