After rising through the ranks at Cold Stone Creamery franchises in Michigan and Missouri, Dylan Lemay, 25, considered a franchise of his own. But on the way he discovered social media, and began posting ice cream videos to YouTube and TikTok. Now, with millions of followers across platforms in his pocket and a few backers, he is opening an interactive ice cream shop on Friday in New York. There, balls of ice cream are mixed with toppings and tossed in the air by servers, thus the name: Catch‘n Ice Cream From Dylan Lemay. Prices start at about $7. Its NoHo location is in the landmark Bayard-Condict building, the only example of the architect Louis Sullivan’s work in New York City; Mr. Lemay said he selected New York for his first store and because of the tourist industry.
